Our Products
American Conduit carries two main products – our PullEase EMT (electrical metallic tubing) and RMC (rigid metal conduit). The following is a closer look at each.
PullEase EMT
EMT is typically used inside. In order to pull wires and cabling through EMT, you usually have to apply some sort of lubricant. This, of course, can take a lot of time.
PullEase EMT, however, makes the need for lubrication a thing of the past, thanks to an innovative interior ridged design. Also, while our EMT is primarily designed for indoor installations, it’s strong and rugged enough to be used outside if necessary.
Also, PullEase EMT is very easy to cut and bend. You don’t need to go out and purchase any special tools, either. You can use what you have on hand.
RMC
RMC is thicker than PullEase EMT, so it can protect your critical wiring from any damage due to accidental impacts. American Conduit RMC can stand up to the most demanding outdoor environments, and will also do a great job of protecting your workers if that environment is volatile, such as a gas refinery. The reason is that it doesn’t emit sparks, and it won’t catch fire. The same can’t be said for steel.
Both of these products offer a lot of benefits that steel simply can’t provide. For example, aluminum won’t develop rust or corrode over time, since it has a natural coating of aluminum oxide. This incredible material can even “heal” itself, so to speak, should it be accidentally cut. Aluminum will also get stronger when the temperatures get cold.
