A Brief Overview of Our Products

Aluminum Conduit & EMT Suppliers North CarolinaAmerican Conduit makes two types of conduit – PullEase EMT (electrical metallic tubing) and RMC (rigid metal conduit). Both of them come in a wide variety of diameters and lengths, and between them, they’re perfect for just about any kind of application you can imagine.

Our PullEase EMT comes in diameters from ½ to 4 inches, while our RMC comes in ½- to 6-inch diameters. Both products come in a variety of lengths as well. In addition, we have an ample supply of couplings and elbows to take care of all joining needs you could ever have. Our RMC elbows are also available in many different sizes.

Here’s a closer look at our PullEase EMT and RMC products.

PullEase EMT

This is a thin-walled product that doesn’t have threads. The technical term for PullEase EMT is “tubing,” but it still works exactly like conduit. It protects cables and wiring from not only chemicals and moisture, but also pests. You’d be surprised at how many different kinds of insects love to make a meal out of electrical wires.

This patented aluminum product is called PullEase because, well, it’s very easy to pull wires through this form of tubing. It contains a ridged interior that greatly cuts down on surface friction. Most other types of aluminum EMT require lubrication in order to be able to pull wires, but not PullEase.

Connecting different sections of PullEase EMT is very simple. You just slide on a clamp-style fitting and put it in place with a setscrew. That’s it. PullEase EMT is also very simple to cut and bend using the tools you already have in your shop.

PullEase EMT is excellent in moist environments that are also filled with chemicals. A food processing plant is a perfect example. If you tried to install galvanized steel EMT in this type of setting, it would quickly degrade. PullEase EMT is also excellent at protecting wiring from electromagnetic radiation.

American Conduit RMC

RMC is extremely tough, with thick walls and threaded tubing that make it perfect for demanding outdoor installations. It also does a great job at blocking electromagnetic interference, so it can be used indoors as well if you need to protect sensitive electronics. American Conduit RMC is just as strong as steel (like our PullEase EMT), and, unlike steel, it won’t emit sparks or toxic fumes when exposed to heat.
