Turn to the Best

Aluminum Conduit & EMT Suppliers IdahoAmerican Conduit has been in business for nearly 40 years. During this time, we’ve earned a reputation for high-quality products and incredible customer service. We’re extremely proud to be part of Hydro, the global leader in aluminum extrusion. Hydro serves more than 30,000 customers around the world, and extrudes more than 500 million pounds of aluminum every year. As a result, we have about a million pounds of aluminum on hand at all times.

We carry two main products – PullEase aluminum electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and rigid metal conduit (RMC). Both of these products are perfect for a wide variety of applications, including refineries, food processing plants, paper and pulp milling, wastewater treatment facilities, and many, many others.

Here’s a closer look at our aluminum PullEase EMT and RMC products.

PullEase Aluminum EMT Benefits

If you’ve only used steel EMT in the past, it might be time to consider switching to aluminum. Not only will you save money, you’ll also see an uptick in reliability and performance. These are just some of the reasons why.

  • PullEase is only about 30 percent the weight of steel EMT. As a result, you’ll se substantial savings in materials as well as labor costs. One person can easily maneuver aluminum EMT into place. It might take two or three workers to do the same thing with steel EMT.
  • Aluminum EMT also offers superior corrosion resistance. It has a natural coating of aluminum oxide that keeps it from degrading – the same can’t be said for steel. You can use aluminum in corrosive, wet environments that steel simply couldn’t handle.
  • In addition, you can easily manipulate aluminum EMT. You can bend it and cut it using the tools you already have. With steel, you would probably have to purchase special tools.

Aluminum RMC Benefits

You’ll obviously see the same cost benefits from aluminum RMC because it’s so much lighter than steel. As a matter of fact, many of our customers have seen savings of between 40 and 60 percent just by switching to aluminum. But you won’t be sacrificing anything in the area of strength. Thanks to the special alloys we use, our RMC is just as strong as steel. You can use it inside or outside, and it won’t rust, corrode or degrade in any way.

Aluminum RMC also does a great job of protecting your nearby equipment from the interference sometimes caused by wires and/or cables. Since aluminum is non-magnetic, that won’t be an issue at all.
