Our Products

American Conduit carries two main products – our rigid metal conduit (RMC) and our PullEase electrical metallic tubing (EMT). Here’s a quick look at each.

RMC

This type of conduit is primarily designed for outdoor use, thanks to its thick, threaded tubing. You can use it with complete confidence since it’s rugged enough to handle the elements and any accidental impacts that may occur. Some forms of RMC are made from galvanized steel. However, if you want true value, you will want to turn to aluminum.

Thanks to our relationship with Hydro, our aluminum contains the strongest alloys available. American Conduit RMC has a high-purity, T-1 temper alloy that delivers incredible strength and corrosion resistance.

RMC offers the best of both worlds – strength and cost-effectiveness. You’ll save as much as 20 percent per foot compared to steel, yet your aluminum RMC will be just as strong and last just as long. As a matter of fact, it will probably last longer. Aluminum has a natural coating of aluminum oxide that protects it from corrosion. Steel doesn’t have that protection, of course. Unless it’s coated with expensive materials, steel will eventually rust out – exposing wiring and cables to moisture and extreme hot or cold.

EMT

American Conduit also carries PullEase EMT. The name of this product says it all because it makes pulling wire easier than ever. Since your workers won’t need to take the time to apply lubrication, they’ll be able to pull wire much faster – and perform an installation much faster. Other EMT types require applying lubricant to the inside – but not PullEase.

PullEase EMT can be used outside, but it’s better suited for indoor use since it has thinner walls than RMC. But PullEase is still durable. It can hold up to corrosive environments, such as a food processing plant, and continue to perform year in and year out. It also protects your electronics, preventing wires and cables from causing electromagnetic interference.
